I was contacted by HR person regarding newly opened position for Data Engineering team and successfully was screened to the next step. Next step was phone interview with BI and another Data Engineering director. On the day of the interview the Data Engineering Director was late for the call, so I spoke with only BI Director and was informed by HR few hours later that everything went well and they would like to invite me for the onsite interview. I provided my availability; however, was informed few days later that the person who was late for the first call also wants to talk to me prior me coming onsite. I agreed and had another phone interview. The impression was that this person is on the mission to blow me off from the process. Even though, some questions were fair enough, he did not want to listen to my explanations why my implementation is the way it is. I emphasized that I’m familiar with other tools which can be used for the development, and are not getting used at the moment due to the lack of resources at my current role. I contacted HR person right after the interview, but he never replied nor called back to me. I had to withdraw my application right away and save myself time when they decided to add one more phone interview to the process.
