After applying, I was contacted by a recruiter for a phone screen. After the phone screen, the recruiter let me know that there is an Excel assessment that all Horizon Media interviewees have to do and if you pass, you will move on to the next step. Bet, I spend my entire day in Excel in general so I had this in the bag. Of course I passed, so I was sent interview details. The interview is up to 2 hours long and you will have to see 2-3 people within the 2 hour interval you have. Kid you not, I spent two hours talking to three different people for two hours, no breaks. I did really well, something the recruiter even said, and then they tell me they're talking to the VP of Social. After a week, I send a follow-up, and the recruiter sets up a call with me. I think this is going to be an offer or maybe another interview, but the recruiter tells me that I've been rejected. I've never received a rejection call in my life - it's always been via email no matter what, so I'm not thrilled about that and I personally though that was unprofessional and a time waster. They tried to lighten the blow by saying that we've talked on the phone before so they thought it would be best to tell me with a call, and the feedback was minimal but they went with someone with "more experience". No, it did not help! It's an entry level job asking for at least 1 year of experience (similar to a Senior Associate role) and I had a full year of experience. Like, come on -_-'
