My recent experience with the hiring process was extremely disappointing. Despite progressing to what seemed like the final round, they abruptly concluded mid-call that I lacked sufficient sales experience. This was despite the initial email stating that they were impressed with my background. Quite contradictory. This feedback, crucial for the role, wasn't provided earlier in the process, leading to wasted time and effort on my part. I had dedicated considerable time to prepare two presentations within a week (the assignments for the role) — one outlining a strategy to achieve 1.5 million in revenue for the regions (annually), and the other presenting a selling use case for a hypothetical client. However, instead of receiving direct feedback on these assignments, the second hiring manager ''went off the script'' and stated that I lacked the necessary sales experience to proceed. This lack of clarity and feedback, after such extensive preparation was a joke. Avoid.
