Insight Global Contractor Opportunity interview questions

I applied for a role that was posted for about a month (already red flag). I got contacted by a recruiter right away. They will call you and ask you basic interview questions and ask for 3 references and ask you to come in for a brief meeting. I came in the next day. The meeting was so brief that the recruiter didn't even have questions for me. I had to come there and ask questions. Apparently I was there to just to a put a face to the resume. It ended up being like 5 mins long. The recruiter end up calling up all three references (for some reason even though recruiter did not contact the company to ensure if I can get an interview). It was a bummer that they exhausted my references for no reason. I rather keep my references for opportunities that actually give me an interview. The recruiter never updated me on the status of the opportunity. I had to reach out. I use a lot of staffing agencies and this is one of the worst ones.
