A recruiter (Lexa Eliades) reached out to me via LinkedIn. We scheduled a phone call that afternoon and made an appointment to meet at the Stamford location. Before the meeting at the Stamford office, she called me again reminding me to wear business professional (blazer, black pants) and that I would be meeting with a couple of people. This was the first I was informed I would be meeting with more people than just her, but I decided to roll with it. I show up to the office and it's completely empty - you pick up a phone and someone answers it and immediately comes out. Seems pretty stupid but I guess it eliminates the need to pay a receptionist. I was brought to a conference room and could clearly hear other interviews for the position I was called in for which I thought was extremely unprofessional. Lexa finally came in and described her role and we had a really great conversation. My conversation with her was more informal and brief. She explained the company and the specific position I was in for and asked if I had any questions. Then she brought in a second girl. The second girl was dressed very unprofessionally and was somewhat rude and hard to talk to. She asked me some standard interview questions. Finally, a third male came in to interview me. I was pretty much asked the same questions each time but other than the second girl the conversations were great and very natural - I could really see myself fitting in with that office. I was told I would hear back within a day via telephone. I was emailed two days later by Lexa. I was in Greek life and am relatively attractive which is clearly what they are looking for in this company. Don't bother interviewing with them if you were not involved in a sorority or fraternity. I believe they have to interview a certain number of people and it felt like a waste of my time and money (as I had to buy a new blazer even though nobody in the office was dressed as formal) considering Lexa reached out to me and not the other way around. It seemed like great place to work and have fun but I don't believe that there was any intention of hiring me from the get go.
