I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Insight Global (Charlotte, NC) in Sep 2015
Interview
Whole thing was silly. I was contacted after having my resume on Monster for less than a couple days by a recruiter. Felt indifferent about the position but I set up a phone screen for later that day, then we set an in-person interview time for the following week.
In the briefing email I got prior to the interview, the recruiter mentioned she would call be beforehand to prep me for the interview, which never happened, but I brushed it off. She also advised me to wear a business suit (which I would've worn anyways for an interview), as to adhere to their office dress code. But I wasn't impressed to see the two girls I met weren't in business professional attire. So that also felt misleading.
I waited in a tiny room with no windows to speak with my recruiter. She didn't ask me about anything really pertaining to the job; it was more about why I had recently moved to a new city and "if I was making any friends yet." It seemed like more of a "would-you-be-cool-enough-to-hang-out-with-us" interview than anything. Even during the phone screen the recruiter mentioned how employees would go to the bar together after work and such. I think they really just try to get young people in and try to put off this cool vibe.
Also, just like a lot of other companies that have contacted ME for an interview rather than vice versa, they're pretty much interviewing people like wildfire. And everyone starts off in the same position which is supposed to be encouraging since they seem to guarantee promotion within 6-9 months. I really wasn't feeling it. Also was told I would be contacted within a certain timeframe and have received no contact. Definitely not impressed by their show of professionalism.
I was messaged by a recruiter on linkedin and had a phone call with her, and then was set up with a first round interview with one of the sales managers for the office I applied for. In this interview I found the questions asked to be very strangely worded for it to be a sales job.
The interview process was long, it consisted of a lot of phone calls with the recruiter prepping you for the interviews. The in person interview felt very calculated and fake. Although I’m sure the managers meant well you could tell they were very judgmental. I’ve also heard awful things about this company so I think it was a blessing. Good luck though!
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Insight Global (Austin, TX) in May 2025
Interview
Began with a 15 minute warmer call with a recruiter to then schedule a 45 minute call with the recruiter, then either an in-person or online interview with hiring manager, and then last interview with manager.
