Applied and received a response a couple of days later to schedule a phone interview. After another couple of days we scheduled another interview with the hiring manager and the following week I was asked to submit an interview assignment and present it to a panel for 45 min. The people I met over Zoom were friendly, seemed motivated to do a good job for the company, and overall they were welcoming. However, I would caution people about their request to submit in writing the interview assignment, which has very specific questions. It feels like they are looking for free ideas, advise, and action items. The reason I say this is because they do not give you any feedback on your presentation whatsoever, even if you ask for it. So the process at that point, doesn't seem fair to both parties. In addition, they seem to be a little bit scattered as far as the company goes, because it's still a start-up environment, so they don't have all their ducks in a row. I sensed a bit of uncertainty during the interview process about what exactly their strategy is and what they are looking for and how things are run.
