It took a month to receive an email inquiring for an interview. Recruiter called and had a very informal conversation around location requirements, since they had questioned via email. Set up interview with hiring manager for 2 days later, felt it went really well. She even said it went really well. A few days after I was advised I didn’t get the role because they had another candidate. I had mixed feelings about the entire process as I am not accustomed to such an informal nature of the interviews. The hiring manager was late to the zoom interview call. Took it personal at first but then decided it was probably best I didn’t get the role. They were very up front about the lower salary.
