There were 4 rounds of phone/videos interviews, then a 5th in-person round at HQ in Birmingham, AL. Several rounds were cancelled within minutes of the interview, then later rescheduled. First: HR phone screen, then Zoom with Hiring Manager. Next I completed an in-depth, time-intensive presentation prompt forecasting plans, campaigns and resources for all of 2024 and presented that to 3 leaders. Next, breakout meetings with the presentation attendees and a talk with the CEO. I felt championed by the CMO and encouraged by all I met, however, the CEO seemed wary for unknown reasons. I took time off and flew to their HQ for a round of interviews which seemed to go tremendously well. A few days later, I was finally told that I would not be offered a job. I received no feedback, other than the CEO saying that I had few "big wins". I have multiple industry awards and multi-million dollar brands under my belt. Given no feedback and their present team makeup, I have some concern that implicit gender bias played a role here. As the saying goes, "Men are hired based on potential and women are hired on experience." All in all, the process was an enormous drain on my personal time and resources.
