Really appreciate the feedback. We have been trying to lean out our interview process for a while now... streamlining it a little to make it go faster... but finding folks that are a good fit here is difficult. We interview 99 people for every one job offer. We've made some changes to make it go faster, but finding the right people is super important to us. We are a people based consultancy after all.
Some folks get turned off by our assessment process. That said, we have found a very high correlation between the results and our various titles and roles. The rigor of our approach saves both of us the trouble of making a hire, subsequently getting released from an account, maybe two, and being let go. If we can't keep you billable and sticky on the account, you can't work here. We do everything we can to avoid this situation. It isn't good for either of us.
The materials we gave you to read are essential because if you aren't familiar with what we do and how we do it.... it's tough to map your background and skills and see how they would apply in our world. We don't do things the way that other consultancies do. It's important you know that before joining us. We are a unique company. We have a unique approach to change. We only want you to work here if you buy into what we do, and believe what we believe.
We aren't trying to be everything to everyone. But if you don't mind some prep-work and don't mind taking some personality assessments before you talk to us... and you're great and what you do... we can be an awesome place to work. But again, we aren't a great place to work for everyone that applies. We generally believe it's better to find that out early before either of us makes a decision that won't work out in the long run.
Thanks again for taking the time to interview and I'm glad you got a little something out of the process. Sorry it didn't work out, but we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.
