I applied online and was told I had an interview for the next day. There was a role play about a customer who was having a dinner party and wanted advice about what to buy. They give you 5 sheets explaining the role play and additional info you need, then leave you for 5 minutes to plan it. Then the interviewer comes back in and you have to treat them as the customer. That was relatively easy to pass as long as you make sure to be confident and try to up sell! If you pass that then you will be asked some questions about past experience and examples of things. Then at the end it's simply availability questions and things like that. Make sure you know about plan A, the 4 i's and just some interesting facts about M&S, which you can find on their website. At the end she told me I had passed but they had more interviews to do so she would call me by the end of the week. I got a phone call the next day saying I had the job.
