I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Marks & Spencer in Nov 2015
Interview
The interview process was easy and simple. It consisted of a one-to-one interview a series of typical retail questions about how I would act in a certain situation. I had to give information about situations in the past and also talk about the company and their motives and values. The second stage was a roleplay exercise, I was given a sheet of paper which had details about offers on in the food hall and had 5 minutes to look over these before the roleplay began. The roleplay began and the interviewer was acting as a woman who wanted a certain hamper on offer and she was very specific about the needs of her guests. I had to assign the correct offer which aligned with what she said.

They could not find the interview sheet so had to come up with questions on the spot and get my details again. I was a bit annoyed but I think the interview was okay.
