This is my experience of applying to M&S for a part-time customer assistant role: I was asked to complete a lengthy on-line application form and upload a CV. Once this hd been done, the next step was a timed aptitude test (about 20 minutes) which flitted between accuracy tests and situational questions. Not able to review answers. Psychometric feedback from Clevry received within 3 minutes which was nonsense - apparently I’m too cheerful and too much of a perfectionist 🤷‍♀️ This was immediately followed by the rejection email from M&S - purely based on the test results. Why ask candidates for a CV and to complete a detailed application form only to completely disregard them on the strength of a short psychometric test? Very poor form M&S - a shoddy way to treat people.
