Each interview is divided into two main parts:
Case Interview: A 30–60 minute business problem simulation where you and the interviewer work together to develop a recommendation. McKinsey uses an interviewer-led approach, meaning the interviewer guides the discussion and presents questions or data throughout the case.
Personal Experience Interview (PEI): Behavioral questions focused on your past experiences, targeting qualities like leadership, personal impact, entrepreneurial drive, and courage to change. You’ll be asked to share specific stories demonstrating these traits, ideally using the STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result) framework

Tell us about a specific project where you drove a difference, how did you do it and what was the outcome?
I had seven interviews of varying lengths over five weeks and with several people at different parts of the organization using traditional questions in both formal and in an informal environment.
