I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Michaels in Dec 2015
Interview
We went to the classroom, very awkward and silent. The whole thing was about 45 minutes long with repetitive questions. Awkward silence, and the overall impression was i didn't get the job.
Easy questions. Asked about art background customer experience and sales. …was brought into back office. References were not checked. Online info and testing process is looked at for assessment. Manager was friendly and welcoming.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Michaels (Altamonte Springs, FL) in Jun 2015
Interview
It was pretty laid back with typical questions. You introduce yourself as well as your experience. What makes you a good candidate. The store manager asked questions related to framing such as methods of selling frames to customers and ability to keep on top of things in framing when you have customers as well as frames to get done.. She asked me if I had any questions. I have always been told that you should go into the interview with questions. It shows that you are interested and wanting to learn more. Also, we went through what hours the position requires as well as what times you would be working.
