It wasn't my online application that got me the interview, but showing up in person and feigning ignorance of how to apply(online only). They were pleased with my enthusiasm and asked on the spot my background and if I could put together one of the stands they had available. Again, they seemed to care less about my experience but that I was able to have a friendly conversation. They told me to call for an interview. I did and got one. I think during the interview as the first time they looked at my resume, and the hiring manager hadn't even met me yet but trusted her employees recommendation.
