The hiring process for a senior position is extensive, hard and consists of multiple rounds, 8 in my case. The interview starts with a peer, who assesses baseline technical ability and then the interview passes to a product leader, who is either a VP or a senior director. The questions are technical in nature and draws a lot of references from previous work. This is done over two days. I had the second round on Skype. If the product leader approves, you come in for a managerial round where you interact with other stakeholders, scrum leader, engineering director, the group head,HR and also a counterpart in another vertical. The process now on is democratic, I had interviews lined up from 11 to 6 with a break for lunch. Once done the entire team deliberates and votes in. Question in managerial are more process related, less technical and a lot to do with cultural fitment
