I applied online. I interviewed at Newmark (Stamford, CT) in May 2018
Interview
HR contacted me and was organized in scheduling an onsite interview with a manager there. I went to the new Stamford office down town. The building was in downtown. Office lobby is brand new, with a nice smaller lobby. Next to the lobby is a large room with table and chairs were many of the employees sit. The manager was pleasant and new herself. She mentioned the seating situation. I sent a, "thank you note" and received no response to date which was dissappointing. Hours are 8:30 to 5:30 pm. I wish they would take the time to at least send a note to candidates who take time off to interview to says Thanks, or give a status.
I was reached out to by HR (I think they found me via LinkedIn), I went to the office to meet with HR and Office Administrator, was very pleasant and easy. They passed me forward to meet with the team that I would be working for. I then had to take an Outlook/Powerpoint/Excel exam (this was relatively easy but were some questions on features that most people don't use). I received the offer a week later.
