I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Nexxen (Bellevue, WA) in Feb 2025
Interview
Waste of time! Negative experience!
Initial Call: I clearly stated that my visa was issued for two years, and a new visa is already in progress. They understood and even mentioned that the company had employees with the same documentation. She also said they could assist in the process if needed.
Technical Interviews: The process took one week, four steps, and was quite intense—but it went well.
1. Coding problem + 2 sql problems.
2. Theory (architecture). + Coding problem (leetcode medium) + sql problem (medium)
3. Theory, linux commands, relational database design.
4. Behavioural.
Offer Stage: They called with an offer to confirm compensation and other details. They asked about my visa again. I repeated exactly what I had stated in the initial call. Then they claimed that I would require sponsorship in the future, which was not what I had answered on the application. I clarified that sponsorship was nice to have but not required, as I am handling my new visa independently.
Final Outcome: Four days later, I received a rejection citing misrepresentation regarding sponsorship—which is completely inaccurate.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Nexxen (Tel Aviv-Yafo) in Jun 2025
Interview
a short introduction about the company, by the interviewer.
a short self-introduction by me.
i was given a short code sample, and was asked about it (what it does, what it's used for etc).
the whole interview was scheduled to be 90 mins.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
i was given a short code sample, implementing a circuit breaker design pattern. i was asked to understand what it does, what it is used for, etc.
not all the questions was clear (i.e. what the interviewer aiming for, where he wanted to get to etc). when i've clarification questions, i got answers that were practically the same as the original question (i.e.: i've heard the same sentence \ explanation twice, no other words or meanings were used).
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Nexxen (Tel Aviv-Yafo) in Feb 2024
Interview
The recruiting process contained 30 min HR intro/expectation meeting, Then 1st technical Zoom interview with Team leader and experienced developer, where I got detailed explanation what company and the team does and afterwards was asked to tell about my experience and to focus on 1 project I did major part.
2nd technical was at the offices, around 2 hours in total and was 2 parts: several architectural problems on board and second part was "simulation of your day in the office":
I got a laptop, with sample fully functional project and Jira page with "my tickets", which contained instructions like how to start project and "customer complains".
It was really cool experience and interviewers were there to assist and make sure you are not stuck.
Then I had interview with VP, CTO and HR. 1st two meetings were more introductory, to answer more road-map question and to make sure not only that I fit the position, but also how I can benefit from the position.
All the process took 10 days till the offer was signed.
The whole process was very friendly and pleasant, while technical questions were aligned to real needs, without irrelevant algorithm questions from the degree or "leetcode" style.
