I completed an online challenge on hackerrank and, a few weeks later, got invited to an onsite assessment day (this was pre-covid). Upon arriving at the office I was given two written tests (one language agnostic and one in a specific programming language) and a tour around the workplace. After lunch, along with a few other candidates, I was dismissed due to low test scores. The members of staff running the assessment day did not tell us what the cut-off score was, and would not reveal the scores any of the dismissed candidates achieved. It was disappointing having to take two days out of university to make the trip to the office, only to be dismissed without having a single face-to-face interview and/or receiving any feedback.
