I was contacted by a recruiter for the initial phone screen. The 2nd part of the interview process required 1.5 hours onsite. During this time you meet with 3 members of the team (30 min ) to go over things such as ( intake sessions with hiring managers- what questions to ask, process? LinkedIn Sourcing process- inmail messages and boolean key word search and Recruiting process. It is more interactive. They will provide you a laptop so you can show them what you know how to do. I truly enjoyed this portion as it allowed me to how them my skills. The second part of the interview process included having a final interview with the recruiting manager. My candidate experience started to go down from here. My interview was cancelled twice by the manager due to a last minute meeting the first time. The second time was due to her son being ill. We finally confirmed a 3rd time ( 30 min).We spoke for an hour and 15 minutes. Needless to say I was told several times during the interview that we prefer a culture fit versus the experience. She then asked me would I be upset if it didn't get one of the roles.At this time there were 3 roles available ( Corporate recruiter, sales recruiter and Talent Acquisition Project Manager) I got the feeling that the interview was being held just to do so. The next day I received and email thanking me for applying. It was a horrible candidate experience. To get that far in the interview process as a candidate a call would have been nice . She sent me an email and turned on her out of office. FYI I have 13 years of experience - I did not get selected for any of the 3 roles I listed However I was led to believe that I was great fit. I can only assume that I wasn't a culture fit based off their language to me. Candidate experience is everything - it was ruined.
