It was quick and clean. Contacted me a couple days after sending in my resume, scheduling a day to be interviewed by all the managers there, and then training started a couple of days after that.
I applied in-person. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at P.F. Chang's in Aug 2012
Interview
I came in and asked for an application. I was sent to the bar to fill it out. Upon my completion, I was interviewed by the Operating Partner (general manager). He sat me down, asked about me, my interest in the company, my experience. He was very nice and very thorough. We went over my application together and he asked about some of the fill in the blank questions on the app. After our meeting (about 15-20 minutes) he told me he would be in touch within the next couple days. The next day, when I was at work, my manager got a call from P.F. Chang's for a reference. After they spoke, I was called prompt (about 20 hours after my first interview) and asked to come in for a follow up interview. I met with the manager in charge of my particular job and she conducted an interview, told me she was interested in hiring me an explained the position. She told me to take my time deciding and I gave her a call about two days later to confirm my "yes". I was brought in a few days later to fill out all my hiring paper work and given my schedule to begin a week following.

I had formulated a well-written cover letter, which was inherently better than what most people submit. I hadn't had word back in well over a month, but eventually they called me up. I showed up for an interview in business casual attire and was hired on the spot.
