I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at PENFED Credit Union (Eugene, OR) in Nov 2011
Interview
I filled out an application in late September 2011 that was provided from their website. They asked it was either faxed or emailed to them and I opted to email them the app along with my resume. I didn't hear back from them until 2 days ago (November 17, 2011) but the HR Rep who called asked me a couple standard questions like if I was still interested in the position and what I knew about the company. She then asked to schedule an interview which we set up for the following morning. For the interview there were 2 people who took turns asking me fairly standard interview questions and then showed me around the facility. I was then given the opportunity to sit in on a few calls with a current MSR and discuss those calls with them. I was offered the job that afternoon, which I gladly accepted. Everyone there was very laid back while still remaining professional. There's a great atmosphere from what I can tell so far.

Question 1
Sell us a product you recently purchased for your personal use / Sell us a financial product you recently got or convinced someone else to get.
I applied online. I interviewed at PENFED Credit Union (San Antonio, TX) in Jun 2022
Interview
Very lengthy.
Zoom interview was a disaster from the start. Interviewer looked very annoyed to be there and wasn’t prepared with questions. Once he came up with questions they were all geared toward the negative.
When asked about the Starting date he replied it was 3 days from this interview. Not enough time for a background check at all.
Seemed to be a complete waste of time.
This is an entry level call center position for a weekends only in person job. Not sure how many people are fighting to take 100 calls a day.

Question 1

What is your weakness?

When did you fail quality?
Why should I hire you?
I applied online. I interviewed at PENFED Credit Union (San Antonio, TX) in Jan 2021
Interview
Phone interview to go over the position and then decide whether you are a good candidate. Then interview over zoom with the supervisor. Both were pretty straight forward and not too difficult. A lot of performance and conflict based questioning.

Question 1
When was a time I had to deal with someone who was upset?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at PENFED Credit Union (Omaha, NE) in Dec 2017
Interview
Applied online a few days later received an email to set up a telephone interview. The call was about 20-30 mins long basically describing the posistion and asking a few basic questions about my work history. Then set up for an in person interview. The in person was incredibly easy, felt more like a conversation. It’s a call center job so basic customer service over the phone type of questions. During the interview I was told I got the job and I’d be receiving a call in a few days with the official offer. Two days later I got the call with the offer. I didn’t except however because I was offered a job I was hoping for at the same time. Extremely easy process. Very friendly.
