I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at PENFED Credit Union (Yigo, GU) in Feb 2010
Interview
I learned of the job by word of mouth and just walked in to fill out an application in the morning. By the afternoon I was invited to an interview. I was asked a series of questions about my personality and howe I would deal with rude members, then asked to pretend to sell a pen. The people were very helpful and polite. The office was businesslike and the work culture was quota driven but friendly.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was asked to demonstrate how I would sell a pen. As the Manager passed the pen over to me and said "Ok, sell me this pen." It was as if she were telling me to prove to her right now that I can sell any random item to a difficult and suspicious customer. It was unexpected and somewhat difficult because such an ordinary object did not seem to have any redeeming qualities. I was forced to find redeeming qualities and make the pen an interesting and valuable purchase.
I applied online. I interviewed at PENFED Credit Union (San Antonio, TX) in Jun 2022
Interview
Very lengthy.
Zoom interview was a disaster from the start. Interviewer looked very annoyed to be there and wasn’t prepared with questions. Once he came up with questions they were all geared toward the negative.
When asked about the Starting date he replied it was 3 days from this interview. Not enough time for a background check at all.
Seemed to be a complete waste of time.
This is an entry level call center position for a weekends only in person job. Not sure how many people are fighting to take 100 calls a day.

Why should I hire you?
I applied online. I interviewed at PENFED Credit Union (San Antonio, TX) in Jan 2021
Interview
Phone interview to go over the position and then decide whether you are a good candidate. Then interview over zoom with the supervisor. Both were pretty straight forward and not too difficult. A lot of performance and conflict based questioning.

Question 1
When was a time I had to deal with someone who was upset?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at PENFED Credit Union (Omaha, NE) in Dec 2017
Interview
Applied online a few days later received an email to set up a telephone interview. The call was about 20-30 mins long basically describing the posistion and asking a few basic questions about my work history. Then set up for an in person interview. The in person was incredibly easy, felt more like a conversation. It’s a call center job so basic customer service over the phone type of questions. During the interview I was told I got the job and I’d be receiving a call in a few days with the official offer. Two days later I got the call with the offer. I didn’t except however because I was offered a job I was hoping for at the same time. Extremely easy process. Very friendly.
