I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Panera Bread (San Diego, CA) in Aug 2013
Interview
I applied online to two locations three months ago. On Saturday, I got a call for a group interview being held at one of the locations for Monday. Monday came around and there were 10 - 11 people in total, 3 being teenagers (myself included), the rest all looked like they were in their 20's. I was the only one without experience. We sat outside and took turns answering questions, then at the end, the manager said, "This is going to be awkward but I have to eliminate the people who I will not be inviting for a second interview." He let go of two people and invited 6 other people to a 1:1 interview. I was set up for the following day. Tuesday came and I went inside and told the cashier working that I had an 11 am interview. I was there 10 minutes early. She notified a different manager and gave me a cup for a drink. I sat down and waited probably 15 - 20 minutes. She finally came and she was very friendly. She asked what I did in my spare time and if I have open availability. I said yes. She wrote little notes on a sticky note that was attached to my resume. The interview was about 5 minutes. I asked her what the hiring process was, and she said she has a few more interviews that day and then on Friday, then her and the other manager will look through the candidates and give them a call back on Friday. After that, they will send them to Planet Bread for training. She said to look at the menu online to get familiar with it. I thanked her and left. Well, now it's Friday 5:40 PM and of course I have not gotten a call back.
You get a call to interview In person with one manager and then if you pass that round you interview with the store manager might depend on store to store

Question 1
What was it like working with a difficult co worker
I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Panera Bread (Charlotte, NC)
Interview
I walked into the store in the morning maybe an hour before lunch rush on a weekday and was pretty much immediately able to meet with a manager and review my application.

Question 1
Preferred hours and pay (though this is more courtesy it seemed than actually paying attention — the manager was ALWAYS upset abt people asking for select hours off even when asking weeks in advance)
very quick and easy. I applied online and then went in person to have an interview with the general manager. Just a couple of questions about availability and experience (I had none but they trained me and it was pretty easy)
