Showed up for the interview early and met with the shift manager to begin. We went over availability, what they were looking for in regards to how many hours I'd be able to work, etc. All was going great, in fact, the shift manager told me that she would like to hire me and that all of their other interviewees were no shows. She asked if I would wait a few minutes to meet the manager and so I did. As soon as the manager came out the entire mood shifted, she didn't think my availability would work, suddenly only had positions in the drive thru, and asked what experience I had in fast food.... I'm sorry, I didn't realize a job in fast food required any previous experience especially when your shift manager is telling me beforehand that they are desperate for employees at this particular location. I can understand why now, the lack of communication from management was a red flag. I never got a call back which is rude, but I'm glad I managed to metaphorically dodge that bullet.
