I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Panera Bread (Torrance, CA) in Jun 2011
Interview
I was recommended by the GM of this location. Interviewed by Baker Supervisor. Typical interview: basic questions about experience, explanation of training pay and lack of benefits (9.00/hr to start), shift, etc. No personal questions: family, interests, goals, etc.
Next, interviewed by Managing Partner (franchise). Same typical explanations. Mostly about him and his skills as a baker. Explanation of low pay and no benefits: "You're not really bakers."
