I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Panera Bread (Virginia) in Sep 2014
Interview
I first called to see if they were hiring, they were, told me to submit an application online, and call again the next day. I did and the manager put me on hold so he could review my application right there and then. He said it looked great and asked me to come in the next day. (because of my availability I had to come in three days later) I brought my resume with me, and he was glad I did. Even though I had no food industry experience, I had customer service experience which we said was great. Right off the bat he was asking me about my availability, telling me what times he'd want me working, and what the uniform was and where I could get it. So I thought that was a great sign. He asked me basic interview questions and did a tiny bit of small talk throughout. Afterwards he told me that he really felt good about me and all he needed was the General Manager to interview me (he was out sick that day), so he said he'd call in the next couple days. He did call in the second day to ask me to come in the next day. (1st Interview was Thursday, call back was Saturday, 2nd interview was Sunday) I went in and interviewed with the General Manager, he was extremely nice/professional and asked me a few more questions. He explained how there are areas to grow and get raises and how'd employees go about that. Then he really insisted I ask him a few so I asked a few (how long is a shift? How do you assign hours during seasonal times when employees are on break from school?) He answered them well then told me he'd love to bring me aboard the team and hired me on the spot.

I applied online. I interviewed at Panera Bread (Lansing, MI)
Interview
The interview process was extremely easy. My first interview was with one of the managers, who asked me basic questions about why I wanted to work there and my availability. At the end of the interview, she scheduled me for a second interview with the general manager later in the week. That interview was extremely short, and at the end, he offered me the position.
