I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Paycom (Austin, TX)
Interview
Very long (85 min) intro call with a recruiter who had reached out to me via LinkedIn.
Lots of questions about college experience, which seemed odd given I have 8+ years post college job history.
Got a call from recruiter a few days after letting me know they couldn’t proceed with me as an applicant as the company I currently work for is considered a competitor. Super strange as most companies love to hire candidates from within the same field. Never in my life heard of not hiring someone because they’d be coming from a competitor zen
