I was referenced by someone on the developer team. I had a prescreen conversation with the team lead that went well. I was then sent a take-home assignment that asked me to build a working bookstore website, complete with frontend and backend functionalities. I then had a technical interview where I walked through the app. I thought it went well. But then I didn't hear anything for 8 weeks. I kept asking about it every other weeks and they told me I was the first one they interviewed. Got rejected later on cause they said I wasn't the strongest candidate.
