While The Pennant Group, Inc. was formed on January 24, 2019, for the purpose of holding the home health and hospice agencies and substantially all of the senior living businesses of The Ensign Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENSG), the story really begins in 2009 when we acquired our first home health and hospice agency and formed what has become the two portfolio companies comprising Pennant. Our mission from the beginning has been to provide “life-changing service.” We adamantly believe that healthcare is local, which means the best way to accomplish our mission of providing life-changing service is to empower local leaders to meet the needs of those they have the pleasure of serving, all while being supported with cutting-edge systems and resources. We believe that through our innovative operating model, we can foster a new level of care for our patients and residents and set a new industry standard for quality home health, hospice and senior living services.
