Recruiter reached out to me through LinkedIn. She was very polite and enthusiastic about presenting the opportunity. I then had a panel interview with hiring manager and colleagues where I felt like I wasn’t really being considered. One of them questioned my skills by asking if I can provide proof of presentations I’ve worked on before which was odd since it is something that I’ve done for years (12+) and other company projects are confidential. It was more of a situational interview with circumstances that were very specific and not everyone goes through them within their career. Overall, the experience was dry and I didn’t feel the hiring manager was really interested in my work approach, experience or ethic from start. An interview should feel welcoming and related to the experience provided in resume. I followed up with an email and hiring manager let me know that they reopened the job posting to broaden candidate pool, likely looking for other type of experience but they would let me know of decision. Never heard from Pfizer again. It would be nice to receive a rejection email to close the process.
