I applied online. I interviewed at QA Wolf in Jan 2025
Interview
Much like to everyone's experience here. My application was rejected in less than 12 hours of submission date as I was asked to code an automated test script with a video submission. I received a generic rejection email stating that other solutions were more closer aligned to what they were looking for yet my video submission showed 0 views.

I interviewed at QA Wolf (Minneapolis, MN) in Aug 2024
Interview
I was encouraged to see a job posting that offered applicants an opportunity to showcase their skills and personality. Per their application request, I spent the better part of a day writing a script with playwright and then recording a video describing the code and describing why you want to work at QA.
The video was recorded on loom which has view metrics. After a week and a follow up email to application I was told that I was not selected, which is fine. I did however ask if they could confirm that my video was watched (I spent a lot of time on this and wanted to see what they would say). To my surprise they responded back saying that my video was watched, while I can see that it wasn't via the loom view metrics.
It's fine to request a project and or video for an application. It weeds out the lazy one click appliers. The caveat to that is that if you're requesting applicants to spend above average time, you must take the time to go over what they sent.
Disappointed that I spend lots of time on an application package that wasn't even viewed, and I'm disappointed that they lied about having viewed it.
