QA Wolf interview questions

Completed the initial take-home challenge and submitted application with walk-through video, resume, cover letter and 400 lines of code to complete the challenge. I was contacted within 24 hours and scheduled an in-person interview. I only had about 2-3 days of experience studying Playwright for the purposes of the application and interview. They start everyone at QA I level regardless of experience so, I assumed that they are willing to train. I am a recent graduate of a bootcamp and about 33% of the current staff are graduates of the same bootcamp. The person who administered the 2-hour interview/test had graduated from the same bootcamp as me just one year earlier. I was able to accomplish working/passing Playwright code for all the specs within what was actually about 1.5 hours of coding. The person instructing you on the test will offer instant feedback on your code while you are working through the steps so you can modify the code. In the end, I received a rejection email a few days later stating that they "will be moving forward with other candidates whose skills and performance on the assessment were a closer match for our needs." Apparently, they are looking for candidates who not only can write valid, working code in Playwright but who have the intuition to know exactly how the company prefers the test code to be written. As others have commented, my Loom video was never viewed. They are kind enough to compensate your interview time generously. They are also very quick and responsive in communication. It might be nice to have a little more instruction as to what the expectations are on the 2-hour online interview/test. I say the application is difficult only because you can still go "above and beyond", make a good application and be rejected without an understanding of what you should have done better. The interview really doesn't allow the candidate to learn anything new about QA Wolf and there isn't any kind of an exchange of information, getting to know you part to the interview. Maybe that part comes if they select you from the interview.
