Interview
The HR left hand does not know what the hiring organization right hand is doing at this company. The hiring organization set up rounds of phone interviews, and the HR people would send me emails about scheduling interviews that had already taken place. I get through to the second round and it looks like we're heading into face-to-face interviews in both San Jose and San Diego. Driving down to the San Jose Interview, one of the HR bods calls to tell me that they had found someone who was a better "fit" (all-purpose, legally innocuous way of saying "We never liked you anyway.") Have to say, this was a new one for my catalog of job hunting cruelties.
