I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling (Los Angeles, CA) in Jun 2019
Interview
Unprofessional interview experience. Received an email from the recruiter Richelle 1 year after applying, asking to come in for an in person interview at the LA office. Confirmed a date. I showed up 15 minutes early, walked past many drivers who smelled badly of alcohol. The interviewers weren't there. The security guard contacted the recruiter and she said she forgot I was showing up and someone would be out shortly. Finally the interviewer greeted me 15 minutes after our appointment time. I met with 3 managers, who might I add were all Hispanics and by the looks of the company everyone working there was Hispanic. I was just surprised there was no diversity at such a huge company like Coca Cola as well as no diversity in the Sales department, huge mistake. I'm plenty qualified for the position, although I'm not Hispanic. I have a college degree and over 4 years of B2B experience however they didn't ask about my sales experience, just asked why do I want to work here and what motivates me. Occasional eye rolls, it's fine, no rules there but beware of the judgement you'll face. The real unprofessional part is them not following up and telling me if I got the job or not. I've never been blown off out of all the interviews I've done. They talked about keeping the company culture as a close knit family a lot, so maybe I just wasn't a fit culturally? Mystery remains. But I've seen a lot of company cultures like this (shady) in the Greater Los Angeles area quite a bit. Glad I took on a different Sales Position with a Fortune company making double. You've been warned.

Interview
The initial screening call went very well and was quick. After the second interview, I haven’t received any update about the next steps or the final decision. I know I wasn’t selected because web page shows it.

Interview
This company is not an equal opportunity employer. I faced covert discrimination during my interview. It was very noticable that the area sales manager only chooses people of their similar skin tone. Run by bad judgemental management. The only thing I can tell the company, You are judging a candidate based on their color of their skin rather then their qualifications. This is not right.

Interview
The company tries to portray itself as a diverse company but they are not for equal opportunity. I truly felt discriminated against by the area sales manager and district manager that interviewed me. I was given positive remarks after my interview and said that I'm a strong candidate. I have over 12 years of sales experience and also possess a BA degree. There should be no reason why I was denied the sales role. If your resume is perfect and show up to the interview, the only way you will get hired is if you meet their white skin tone criteria. This was not just and its unfortunate that in 2024, there are many companies like this. If you are a minority applying, stay away. Not worth your time.
