I applied online. I interviewed at SHI International (Somerset, NJ) in Jun 2025
Interview
I originally applied for the position in February 2025 and was contacted by an SHI recruiter in April. I completed two telephone interviews. During the second interview, I was informed that the role was being placed on hold due to the departure of the IT Operations Manager.
In June 2025, I noticed the same position reposted on another job board. I followed up with the original recruiter to check the status and was informed that the position had been reassigned to a new recruiter. I then reached out to the new SHI recruiter, who confirmed the role was open and submitted my resume to the newly appointed IT Operations Manager. Shortly after, I was invited for an onsite interview.
By this point, I had already met with the two admins over a video call. One of the team members, however, kept his camera off throughout both the virtual and onsite interviews, which came across as unprofessional and left a poor impression.
While I was ultimately not selected for the role, I believe it was for the best. The process and team dynamics raised several concerns for me, and I’m confident that a better opportunity is ahead.
