The technical info in the interview was good. The attitude of the interviewer wasn't. When we discussed pay, I gave my number, $25, and we talked about my past position at another company where I was paid $24 and how I was using that as a baseline. He tried to negotiate down - which is fine, I get negotiation is part of the process - but then he tried to tell me how it was a fluke that I got paid $24, that perhaps it was only because I was a contractor and was paid more. I told him I had seen the full time offer sheet and even considered applying to that position after and discussed it with my boss, and I was sure that I was being paid a normal wage. He insisted that I was receiving more than what they normally would have paid, and that I should therefore take a less salary. This was a huge turn off. It's one thing to negotiate, it's another to try and tell me what I should or shouldn't have been paid and try to manipulate me when I'm the one who saw the full time offer sheet.
