Started with a call to set up a phone interview, which was about an hour long and involved 2 interviewers. Calling into the conference line didn't work all that well and I was a few minutes late because of it, but they didn't mind. They asked pretty basic interview questions over the phone, and at the end said they wanted to bring me in for an extended interview at the NYC office, and would relay details at a later date. The actual interview wound up being weeks later. There were two other candidates there, and the three of us were treated to a luncheon with a few of the consulting staff, who are all very nice people. They divided the afternoon into four interviews, and if you are going to interview with them I highly suggest reading the Vault Career Guide for Consulting, because the interview was literally by the book: -"Behavioral interview:" pretty standard interview questions as well as asking you about how you would respond to certain Sibson-specific issues. Includes a brainteaser. Overall probably the hardest part of the interview. - Business case: very straight-forward. You are given 15-20 minutes to analyze a business case (presented by the interviewer) and present your conclusion at the end. The important part was not to have all the answers, but to demonstrate your thought process. This part was the easiest for me. - Interview with someone currently in the Associate position: very easy going. Basically just talking about the role, not really any interview questions. - Excel interview: the interviewer walks you through some excel problems, and at the very least you learn some cool new tricks. Apparently everyone winds up doing about the same on this one. Overall I thought the interview went really well - better than I had anticipated actually. However the next day I got an email saying I was not invited back for the 3rd and final round. That's ok though, because it was a really positive experience overall. Again, I highly recommend reading the Vault guide for consulting interviews, as it was extremely helpful.
