I was contacted via LinkedIn about the opportunity. Ultimately after 5 conversations with different people at the company, I received an offer. The catch is this was a verbal offer and the company was then reluctant to send an offer letter. After a week with no real update on the offer letter, I received a call from the recruiter stating they wanted me to speak with one additional person. This conversation was high-level and not role-specific at all. To be frank it was a waste of my time and the interviewers. In the next few days, I had to reach out to the recruiter to find out they eliminated the role and are hiring no one. Overall I was strung along for an obsolete role.
