The interview process at this company was excessively long and ultimately disappointing. It began well with a professional, responsive recruiter who maintained clear communication. The process started with a phone screening, followed by a first round which, if passed, led to a second round with an assessment or quiz. Next was a meeting with the hiring manager in the third round, followed by interviews with another department member in round four, an HR partner in round five, then the head of HR, and additional interviews with team members, concluding with a second meeting with the hiring manager.
However, the professionalism waned significantly as the process continued. Some team members were unprofessionally informal, asking personal questions like "where are you from?" as if meeting in a bar rather than a professional interview setting. The on-site interviews, which involved several hours with HR and other potential team members, were particularly problematic.
The interaction with HR was the most concerning; they struggled to maintain the standards they claimed to uphold. They posed formal questions about company culture and fit, but if your answers didn't meet their expectations, they would immediately disqualify you, offering no constructive feedback. Instead, they would cancel the rest of the interview abruptly and escort you out like a criminal. This was not only unprofessional but also incredibly disrespectful.
It's clear that the HR team here acts more like gatekeepers driven by emotion rather than objective professionalism. The process could either be entirely in-person with all team members having input, or done online to avoid wasting candidates' time with a full-day on-site interview only to cancel partway through. This experience was highly unprofessional and left a negative impression.
