Slickdeals interview questions

The first phase of the interview was an hour long call with the hiring manager, at the end of which I was asked to put together a public relations plan. Upon submission of the plan, I was invited for an in-person, 2 on 1 interview, during which I presented my ideas. The last phase was a video conference interview with the CEO. Slickdeals prides itself on its company culture, and in addition to the core skill set, candidates are evaluated on how well they fit with the team overall.

I sent in my resume to apply for the Business Development Associate role and did not hear back from anyone for over 2 weeks. I then followed up with the e-mail address where I submitted my resume. The hiring manager then reached out to me about a phone screen. Phone screen went well but did not hear back from the hiring manager. Sent a followup e-mail to the hiring manager and was told that he wanted to bring me into the office to interview with himself and other employees. I had a couple rounds of in person interviews with multiple members of the team. During my in person interviews, I was told that my salary requirements were high but that possibly equity could be negotiated. I interviewed with 2 members from different teams for cultural purposes. I did not hear back for another week or so and decided to follow up with the hiring manager. The hiring manager told me that he wanted me to have a phone interview with another member of his team. I then had my phone interview and was told that I would hear back from the hiring manager. A couple weeks went by and I again had to follow up with the hiring manager. The hiring manager said that I was not a fit for the team at this time. I understand that Slickdeals is a small company but was disappointed with the lack of communication in regards to status updates and compensation structure.
