Typical: First is a phone interview w/ recruiter, another phone interview with the hiring manager, then a take home "test" before they would consider bringing you for an in-person interview
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Sonder
Interview
Four stages:
- Screening call, hiring manager call, case study (and review call), 4x team interviews
- All up, seven interviews and a case study that took many hours to complete
Despite having to chase for feedback after each step I received positive feedback throughout the whole (SIX week long) process. After not hearing back for a week after the team interviews I followed up only to receive a generic pre-filled recruiter rejection email. After again following up to request more context for the decision I received exceedingly vague feedback from the hiring manager. An extremely frustrating process.
In future please be more direct with candidates and respect the time put into the process.
Easy process, got to meet key team members during onsite interview. I appreciated the optimism and transparency about the role/responsibilities. Ultimately, didn't find the culture to be the right fit, and the office location is too inconvenient.
