I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Specsavers in May 2016
Interview
Went for an interview after getting a phone call. Interview went really well. Got excellent feedback. However near the end of the interview they said they don't have any vacancies! Apparently they made a mistake and apparently they said they was full with optical Assistants. They apologized and said that my interview was amazing however it was extremely annoyed. A huge tip for the interview was dress well (preferably a suit) and do research on the business
Brief interview, mainly was asked about previous jobs and why I wanted to work for Specsavers. The atmosphere wasn't tense, so I felt comfortable instead of on edge as I usually did with the interviews.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Specsavers (Galway)
Interview
Was invited to the managers office where I was interviewed by the manager and store supervisor.
They were polite and properly invested in the interview. Only complaint I had is it took way too long for them to get back to me with the results of the interview. And with how it was handled I have a feeling that they were waiting for a specific person to show up whom they already decided would be hired prior to the interview process.
