Interview
I applied online through the company website and after 2 weeks was contacted by the Specsavers Admin department (which is located elsewhere) that the manager wanted to conduct an interview. Another 2 weeks went by and I attended my interview in Specsavers with a manager who seemed nice enough. The interview took one hour upon which the manager then said I would have to do another interview with the director. Another 2 weeks went by and I turned up for my second interview only to be told the director was not in. The next week I went in and had my interview with the director (more of an interrogation really) which took about 2 hours. He seemed very friendly but also extremely forceful about what I would be doing and was already trying to force me into a full time optical career. I got a call In December after weeks of waiting saying I had got the job.

Tell me about a personal time in your life that was most difficult and how you overcame it (too personal)
Brief interview, mainly was asked about previous jobs and why I wanted to work for Specsavers. The atmosphere wasn't tense, so I felt comfortable instead of on edge as I usually did with the interviews.

Was invited to the managers office where I was interviewed by the manager and store supervisor.
They were polite and properly invested in the interview. Only complaint I had is it took way too long for them to get back to me with the results of the interview. And with how it was handled I have a feeling that they were waiting for a specific person to show up whom they already decided would be hired prior to the interview process.
