I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Splunk in Mar 2013
Interview
Contacted a HR through LinkedIn. She asked me to send my resume. Later got a call from her that a manager wants to interview me for a testing position he has.
Interview- Started with basic questions on Quicksort, then, went into OS, we discussed thrashing. Asked some behavioral questions like, 'what motivates you to work?'.
At the end asked a testing question- 'How will you test Gmail's login page?'
Very straightforward and painless, they have different procedures depending on if you're software or research and if you're PhD or masters. I had a good experience, very conversational- brush up on ML fundamentals. Have ideas for what you want to do with your time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Given time series data how can you make test statistics based on windowing that are robust to noise
The interview process started at the career fair at my school, I signed up for an interview to ask questions about the company. After you can follow up and apply on their career website.
First interview with HR, second interview with the department manager and third with another manager, but this one is a role play with this manager. They will explain everything you need to prepare. Also, They were asking basically the same questions in the two first interviews.
