Interview
First I applied through their career portal, got contacted by a technical recruiter who discussed the role with me and how the process will be, in addition to some questions about my background.
Then I got invited to a phone screening, basically a 45 mins technical interview with a principal engineer. On the day of the interview I joined the meeting, the interviewer wasn’t there. After 20 mins I sent an email to a recruiter and they said to wait a few minutes! the interviewer joined and seemed like a very relaxed nice person who apologized for the delay and that he wasn’t informed of the meeting somehow.
A couple of days after the interview I sent an email to the recruiter that I have another offer on the table and I’d like to fast track my process to which they replied with that they got “very positive feedback” and that they’d like to continue with me but then they scheduled the virtual interview over 3 days in 2 weeks time around 7~8pm. I joined both interviews, obviously exhausted and could barely concentrate, yet the interviewers seemed like they didn’t care to be there, they just threw a couple problems at me and I solved them. then after that no response whatsoever from recruiters. It’s been 3 weeks since then.
I can see a trend with this company and their recruiters’ ghosting culture. I just don’t see why they do it. It can’t really be that hard to just send a rejection email. I ended up contacting 4 different recruiters and like it is a coordinated effort that they enjoy, none of them has replied to me as of the time of this writing yet.
Horrible. Rude. They were awful. Stay away. I never would recommend to even my worst enemy on this planet. What a terrible interviewer. Beware. They already picked someone. I am glad I dodged a bullet here.
