      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Interview

there was a screening call then a written skill assessment then a mock call and then three one on one interviews. The process was very straightforward and easy despite how the multiple steps may make it seem

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Springboard

      Interview

This was the strangest interview process I've ever experienced: 1) Intro call/phone screen 2) Written assessment with math problems involving calculating certain metrics they don't even use at the company 3) Phone call to go over the written assessment 4) Case scenario phone call where you are pretending to be an actual student success associate responding to a student inquiry (strange seeing as you are not in the role yet, so how could you know how to act/what to say) 5) Another phone call to go over the case scenario phone call + further questions 6) A FOUR-hour final interview where you meet with 4 team members individually You would think you're interviewing for a CEO position and not customer support. Has anyone else completed 6 rounds of interviews with a 4-hour final interview for a $37K job?? The main interviewer seemed inexperienced, as his questions were very strange and he seemed to be reading from a script. He was late calling me on multiple occasions. I was asked on almost every interview how I felt about the interview process and if I had any feedback, which again I thought was strange - are you going to critique the interview process for a company you're still currently interviewing with and hoping to join? I'm honestly glad I didn't get an offer because solely based on my interview experience, I wouldn't want to join Springboard anyway.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

-tell me about a time you failed and what did you learn from that -tell me a quality that someone might have that would make this job difficult for them -what's a project you had to manage -how do you deal with managing different tasks and priorities

Thank you for your feedback, we always appreciate it. We recognize the interview process is multifaceted and complex. Regardless of the experience or salary levels, we want to bring the best possible hires to our organization, which is why there are so many assessments. Springboard is a fast growing startup and our recruiting function is slowly growing as well, and with that comes more training for our interviewers and ultimately better candidate experience & refined hiring processes. We are sorry that your experience wasn’t positive and take your feedback very seriously. Thank you

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Springboard (San Francisco, CA) in Jul 2020

      Interview

R1-Phone call with hiring manager R2-Data analytics and Written communication Assessment R3-15 min mock phone call assessment R4-"On-Site" via zoom with 4 employees x 45 mins each After moving quickly through these 4 rounds, I heard nothing from Springboard for 2 weeks. I then had two more interviews with the hiring manager, and was ultimately not given an offer. If you interview with Springboard don't consider the "On-Site" your final interview, it seems that there is not a timeline, and their hiring goals change while people are in "the pipeline"

Thank you for your note. We recognize that there were communication gaps here and steps we didn’t anticipate. As a fast growing company with frequently changing priorities, at times our interview timing/processes are quickly changing as well. Moving forward, we will put more efforts into building a time-efficient outline to our hiring processes. You should not be waiting and have additional interviews added last minute, but sometimes priorities change and it takes longer for calibration to happen on our part. We will make sure to communicate better with both the candidates and the hiring managers, as we build our recruiting function. Thank you for your time and feedback.
