There are totally 4 stages of tests and interview.
The first one is online application and aptitude tests (numerical and logical reasoning)
After passing the online tests, you will get a telephone interview. This interview main focuses on your general background, why you want to join Standard Chartered Bank, what are its competitors, any recent news about Standard Chartered, and other questions like have you encountered any situations that you have conflict with your colleagues or groupmates, and how you solve it.
There will be a group and HR interview if you pass the telephone one. First of all, in the group interview, a group of 8 people are given a topic to discuss and each one of us will have a private information for the discussion. There is no need to give a presentation after it. The face-to-face HR interview comes after the discussion, The questions are similar to the telephone interview but with a bit more focus on your CV like what did you learn from your internship experience, or what did you do during your exchange study.
In the final interview, you will meet one HR head of Asia and Head of Consumer Banking. The interview consists of 2 parts, Industry Presentation and Behavioral Interview. In the industry presentation, you will be given the half year report of SCB before the interview and you read it for this interview.You need to present your opinion about its future in terms of opportunities and threats. In the behavioral, again, the interview questions are similar, self-introduction, why SCB but not HSBC, what do you see are the differences between SCB and other banks, your strengths and weaknesses.
