      Program Manager Interview

      May 5, 2019
      Anonymous employee
      Stanford, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Stanford Health Care (Stanford, CA) in Feb 2018

      Interview

First interview was phone call with hiring manager, then another one with his boss. They definitely over sold themselves and the department, and didn't mention all the political leadership changes happening then.

      Application

I interviewed at Stanford Health Care (Sacramento, CA)

      Interview

This interview was with Revenue Cycle Optimization. The hiring manager communicated very, very fast which I felt was weird and rude. Her attitude was not welcoming or friendly and I felt that I would never be a good fit working under her. I did a great job answering the questions but I felt personality wise I would not be a good fit for the department working under her. It makes me wonder what kind of company culture Stanford has.

      Question 1

What was something new I learned recently and how did it apply or help me in my career. And how would I handle a situation where out of network claims were being denied.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Stanford Health Care (Newark, CA) in Dec 2025

      Interview

The interview process was very unorganized. There was no recruiter in the process. It was all handled by by the hiring person. Same with other responses, had several Teams interviews and then onsite panel interview. Only one guy keep asking me question and the rest really didn't have much to say. After the interview, everything went silence with no response like your time doesn't matter. I probably spent over 40 hours from tailoring my resume along with answering their questionnaires, all the mock interview prep, and the onsite Business case preparation. It really not worth applying because the risk is on you, NOT THEM. It is SO UNETHICAL!!

      Interview

I had an initial screening with the department manager. Then I had two additional interviews with the department leadership. The process took sometime which is to expected since they were interviewing other candidates. Good communication about the process and responsive to my pre and post questions.
